Today is Sunday, August 17th. I havne't written since before my competition. Haley and I ended up finishing in 5th place. We had a lot of fun and were really happy with our performance! I thought I would be way more nervous than I actually was. Throughout the whole competition I stayed really calm. It really just felt like another meet. It didnt feel any different or like we had to do so well we really just wanted to have fun and dive our best and that is definately what we did. We didnt have anything to prove to anyone because were here and we did it! This whole experience has been amazing! I still can't believe I am here and I have competed in the Olympic Games! But now that I am done I am working out alot to stay in shape and stay healthy and my job now is just to cheer the rest of our team on as they did the same for us.
Competing and being able to look up in the crowd and see all your family there was the coolest feel I can't even explain. I was so happy that everyone was able to make it here to watch me.!!
Tonight Christina and Nancilea are competing in the womens three meter finals. They have been diving really great and there is a great possibility we could start bringing home some medals! The whole team will be there tonight rooting them on.
But besides that everything is going really well here. The weather has been pretty good some rainy days here and there but we have had a lot of really nice days as well.
GO TEAM USA!

Today is Sunday, August 10th. Our synchronized three meter girls dove today and ended up fourth and missing a medal by four points. They dove really really well though. So we are all quite proud of them. Two days ago on the eighth were the opening ceremonies. They were absolutely amazing!! I had never experienced anything like it in my life. Before the parade and everything that took place the whole American team lined up in the fencing hall and got to meet The President and get our picture with him! It was really cool! I and a lot of other athletes got a bunch of pictures with some of the mens basketball team! Then once everyone got lined up we had to go to the gymnastics gym and wait for them to call our name to start making our way over to the Birds Nest. Once we got over there we walked through a tunnel and the entire USA team was yelling U-S-A and that was so awesome because everyone was pumped and ready! When we finally got out onto the track and just looking up into the huge crowd of people and cameras and just everything brought tears to most everyones eyes. I know it was a very emotional experience for me as well. What i felt walking out and knowing that i am representing my country is just a feeling i cannot explain. It was the most amazing thing i have ever done in my entire life!
Our boys will compete in ten meter synchro tomorrow and then we will compete the next day in ten meter synchro as well. Our training has been going very well so we are ready to compete and just have fun and do our best.!

Today is August 7th and tomorrow is the opening ceremonies! I am so excited, I can't wait!!
Today was our first day back in the village from our little day and a half adventure with our team. I am glad to be back in the village and there are already a lot more people in the village than there were before we left. On our little adventure we went to The Great Wall and to a lot of cool restaurant. One restaurant we went to was a chinese duck restaurant and an American pizza place. Both were very good in different ways. I did try the duck and it was okay but not my favorite but I am glad that I at least tried it.
The Great Wall was absolutely amazing!! I had seen it in pictures and everything but to actually see it in person and to be on it was so cool! I had a lot of fun especially when we rode the gondola up to the wall and took the bobsled down. The bobsled was kind of like a giant slide that curved from the top all the way down. It was so much fun when i got to the bottom i wanted to do it again! When you steer the sleds you are suppose to slow down on the curves and one of our coaches decided not to and just go full blast and flipped off the track and has like road rash on his leg and elbow. He was so funny about it all too! haha!
Overall I am having a great time here in China and cant wait for tomorrow and the ceremonies and for all the competitions to begin. I'm so excited!!!

Today is Sunday August 3rd and its 6:45 in the morning...We are all having a blast here in Beijing and especially in the village. They have so much things for us athletes to do if we are bored or anything. It's awesome, they have an arcade that is really close to our building that has a bunch of games in it. Some teammates and I have been down at the arcade the past two days for at least an hour and a half. It is a lot of fun! Everything in the village is amazing. The landscaping alone is really cool. When i look out my bedroom window i see a huge pond with fountains and flowers. It is really pretty.! Everyone here has been over the top nice and helpful too.Even though security is real tight getting in to the village it is well worth it. The dinning hall where all the athletes around the world eat is HUGE! There is so much different food you can choose from. They have Asian food, American food, Italian and way more. They even have a 24/7 McDonalds! But i have managed to stay away from that and plan on staying away from it haha! But everything is really going smoothly here and i am so excited for the competitions to begin! I am on my way to my first practice today in the watercube!!
